A few years on from selling Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto, the Liverpool flops have significantly improved.
Ask Liverpool fans about Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas and you won't get much of a report, because there wasn't much to remember about their careers at Anfield.
Signed by former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers in the summer of 2013, Alberto and Aspas only managed 23 Premier League apperances between them before the club axed them.
Aspas joined Celta Vigo in a permanent deal for around £5.2 million in 2015, while Alberto moved to Lazio for £3.4 million a year later.
And suffice to say that despite both failing to make the grade at Liverpool, the duo's respective price-tag now indicates that they have improved in a big way since leaving Merseyside.
Aspas, an unused substitution in Spain's 1-1 draw with Germany on Friday, is now worth £28 million (CIES Football Observatory) after netting 16 goals in 28 games for Celta. If he were younger, the the 30-year-old forward, who turns 31 in August, would be worth a whole lot more.
And Alberto is dazzling in Italy, setting up 12 and scoring eight goals in 33 starts for Lazio, who sit fifth in the table. In doing so, the Spanish playmaker is worth approximately £30 million (CIES Football Observatory).
With those figures in mind, you could argue that although neither worked out in the Premier League, Rodgers, who spent a total of £13 million on both, certainly saw something in the pair after all.
