Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso has hit out at their squad depth after defeat at Champions League opponents Barcelona.
It is the first time one of the players has echoed boss Antonio Conte's constant gripe that he is being sold short by the club in the transfer market.
Alonso said: “We have had so many games this year and we have not got the deepest squad."
The Spaniard continued: “We can only fight for this and learn from defeats we've had this season. We have to fight in these last eight games because we deserve to play Champions League again next year.
"We can only look forward and start fighting for fourth spot and to win the FA Cup.
"There have been a lot of positive things in both games against Barcelona and we have to show this desire in the next games and make sure that we win every one. We showed until the last minute that we can play against any team."
