Sheffield United vs Burton Albion FC - Duffy and Clarke poised to return
Posted Tuesday, March 13, 2018 by PA
Sheffield United could have Mark Duffy and Leon Clarke back for the visit of Burton.
Duffy missed the goalless draw at Ipswich on Saturday but Blades boss Chris Wilder is hoping the winger will be fit for Tuesday night’s match.
A hamstring problem has ruled Clarke out of the last two games and the striker will return to the squad if he can train on Monday.
James Wilson made his comeback from an ankle injury at Portman Road so midfielder Paul Coutts (knee) remains the only definite absentee.
Lucas Akins, Hope Akpan and Liam Boyce are fresh injury concerns for Burton following the goalless draw with Bristol City.
Akins hobbled off early on in the game with a hamstring problem which will keep him out while Hope Akpan and Liam Boyce (ankle) are nursing knocks.
Jacob Davenport, meanwhile, has been struggling with illness and may miss out.
Former Blade John Brayford and fellow defender Ben Turner have had extended spells on the sidelines due to calf complaints and they will probably not be risked before the international break.
