Bayern Munich convincingly beat Besiktas 5-0 in the first leg of their Champions League tie on Tuesday, but Arjen Robben was not overjoyed by the decision of coach Jupp Heynckes to start the 34-year-old Dutchman on the bench.
Despite Robben's annoyance, the scoreline represented Bayern's 14th successive victory in all competitions and their 12th in a row at the Allianz Arena.
"If I express how I feel right now, tomorrow I will be in the office of [Karl-Heinz] Rummenigge," Robben said to Sky after the match.
Along with Robben, Thiago and Franck Ribery were also left out by the veteran head coach but Heynckes understands the annoyance of all three players.
"I do what I think is right," said Heynckes. "This must be accepted by all."
Bayern were given a great advantage early on in the game against Besiktas with Domagoj Vida being sent off after 16 minutes, and the goals then came from a brace by both Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski, along with a strike by Kingsley Coman.
