Accrington Stanley vs Swindon - Seamus Conneely set for long-awaited Accrington return
Posted Monday, February 05, 2018 by PA
Accrington defender Seamus Conneely will hope for a first taste of action since before Christmas when Stanley welcome Swindon to the Wham Stadium on Tuesday night.
The 29-year-old has not played since suffering a groin injury in the 3-2 home defeat by Crawley on December 23, but was an unused substitute as his team-mates beat Stevenage 3-2 on Saturday following his return to training.
Harvey Rodgers made his second debut in that game after returning from Fleetwood on deadline day and is expected to keep his place.
Stanley have only lost once in their last six games, a run which was seen them collect 15 points to maintain their pursuit of automatic promotion from Sky Bet League Two.
Rollin Menayese is in line to make his first start for Swindon.
The 20-year-old centre-half joined on loan from Bristol Rovers on transfer-deadline day and made his debut against Lincoln on Saturday after replacing striker Luke Norris when defender Matt Preston was sent off.
But with Preston now suspended, Menayese could slot into a back three alongside Ben Purkiss and captain Olly Lancashire.
Midfielders Donal McDermott (hernia) and Amine Linganzi (thigh) and defenders Chris Hussey (groin) and Dion Conroy (knee) are still out.
