Bury vs AFC Wimbledon - Ryan Lowe could stick with winning formula against AFC Wimbledon
Posted Monday, February 05, 2018 by PA
Bury player-coach Ryan Lowe could name the same team for the third straight game as the League One strugglers attempt to extend their fledgling unbeaten run against Wimbledon.
The same 11 men started the 2-1 win at Oxford last month and Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Blackpool, in the process ending an eight-match losing sequence in all competitions.
Striker George Miller, who has scored in both his appearances as a substitute since making a loan move from Middlesbrough, will hope that potency may earn him a chance of a start with the bottom-of-the-table Shakers looking to stay in touch with the sides above them.
However, Craig Jones (thigh), Jermaine Beckford (knee) and Eoghan O’Connell (ruptured ligaments) remain on the casualty list.
AFC Wimbledon will check on captain Barry Fuller.
Defender Fuller missed the defeat at Rotherham on Saturday with a calf problem, so will be assessed ahead of the trip to Gigg Lane.
Centre-back Will Nightingale is scheduled to step up his rehabilitation from a knee injury shortly, while midfielder Dean Parrett continues his recovery from a groin operation.
Striker Kwesi Appiah also remains unavailable following surgery on his troublesome hamstring injury.
