Port Vale boss Neil Aspin boosted his defensive options with three signings before the transfer window closed and they could all feature against Morecambe.
Callum Howe signed an 18-month deal with the Valiants from Lincoln, while Kyle Howkins and Charlie Raglan arrived at the club on loan deals from West Brom and Oxford respectively.
Fellow defender Zak Jules, another loan arrival, made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Colchester last time out and is likely to keep his place.
Vale were dealt a blow when Tom Anderson was recalled from his loan by Burnley this week and sent out to League One Doncaster.
Gregg Wylde is expected to make his debut for Morecambe.
Scottish winger Wylde arrived at the club from League One Plymouth on a loan deal until the end of the season earlier this week.
Defender Steve Old looks set to miss out after he pulled a glute in the early stages of last weekend’s last-gasp defeat to Mansfield.
Striker Callum Lang recovered from an ankle injury to play 72 minutes and score against the Stags and he should start once again.
