Chelsea snap up Giroud from Arsenal as Batshuayi leaves on loan

Olivier Giroud has completed a deadline day move from Arsenal to Chelsea on an 18-month deal for around 22 million euros.
After 253 games and 105 goals for the Gunners, the French striker is set to reinforce the Blues' attacking force and share playing time with Alvaro Morata.
In a chain of transfers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had already taken Giroud's place in Arsene Wenger's squad on deadline day morning while Michy Batshuayi signed for Borussia Dortmund to replace the Gabonese.
The Belgian striker's signature has been made official by the Germans on Wednesday, as the 24-year-old clinched a loan deal for the rest of the season.
