Jan Oblak is on Man Utd's shortlist

There have been rumours that the Old Trafford No.1 is heading to Real Madrid this summer.

It follows long-term interest from Los Blancos in the ex-Atletico Madrid keeper.

The 27-year-old joined the Red Devils in 2011 and has established himself as one of the best in the world.

Reports have suggested that De Gea will not sign a new deal and tell Manchester United he wants to join the European champions.

And boss Mourinho has wasted no time in pinpointing the stars to fill the Spanish stopper's shoes.

According to Don Balon, the former Chelsea boss wants Atletico keeper Jan Oblak or Bayern ace Manuel Neuer between the posts, should De Gea go.

Oblak, although the top target, is considered too difficult to acquire due to his transfer fee, whilst Neuer would command a lesser price.

The report goes on to suggest that despite Neuer turning 32 in March, he will fulfil his long-held wish to have a goalkeeper with prestigious international experience.

The German stopper came third in 2014 for the Ballon d'Or, the first keeper to make the top three since 2006.

There are rumours there will be a squad upheaval at the end of the season at the Bernabeu.

Coach Zinedine Zidane has had a miserable term this year.

Despite winning a league and Champions League double last season, they have begun this one poorly.

They sit 16 points behind arch-rivals Barcelona in La Liga, whilst also crashing out of the Copa del Rey to Leganes.

De Gea has been mentioned as one of the star names to arrive, as well as Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Tottenham star Harry Kane.
