PEP GUARDIOLA worked overtime on Tuesday night by dropping down the divisions to watch Mansfield - and looked extra snazzy while doing so.
Premier League leaders Manchester City face Cardiff in the fourth round after they saw off the hosts 4-1, and rather than send an assistant to do the research the Etihad boss went along himself.
Pep Guardiola wore a trendy flat cap to Mansfield
Mansfield CEO Carolyn Radford got a snap with the Catalan icon who had wrapped up for the occasion in trendy flat cap and trademark black scarf wrapped around his neck, and was joined by son Marius in the stands.
Guardiola's presence - complete with a long trench-style black coat buttoned up at the sides - should not come as too much of a surprise given City's chance of a Quadruple this season.
Even after losing their unbeaten streak to Liverool at the weekend, the Prem title looks secured and the FA and Carabao cups are nicely in reach.
And Guardiola - who was dressed almost identically to his lad - knows he has to really stockpile the silverware to make Man City the club their spending deserves.
Pep Guardiola watched Cardiff beat Mansfield
He said: "To become a big club like the teams I've faced, or Manchester United or Liverpool with their history, you have to win.
"It's so important. A trophy win helps you to win more. It's nice to have good performances, but you have to lift the titles and it's important and we're going to try.
"But nobody can take away what we've done so far. The pleasure we've had so far, over three or fourth months, belongs to us.
"After that, we must give value to what we have done. We have to lift titles in the future - without them, it's not enough.
The important thing is to be involved in all competitions. We have to be involved in everything.
"From my experience in Barcelona, when we won the Treble, in January you cannot talk about it, because it's unrealistic.
"In sport, the most important thing is what's next. Visualise and focus on what's next."
