Roberto Firmino sacrificed a MASSIVE sum of money by letting Sadio Mane score
The Liverpool forward chose to allow his team-mate's shot to trickle in against Stoke rather than tap in himself

Roberto Firmino is a bloody good bloke, isn't he?
We all need a mate like the Liverpool star.
We salute you, Roberto
Firmino's unselfishness is one of his best and most endearing traits, making him the perfect figurehead to lead Jurgen Klopp's fluid attack.
And against Stoke he displayed his philanthropic tendencies again.
Sadio Mane's delicate chip was trickling towards goal but, instead of helping himself to a simple tap in, Firmino allowed his team-mate to score instead.

And the Brazilian's decision will actually be damaging to his bank balance.
According to Football Leaks, Firmono earns a basic wage of just over £68k-a-week and an additional £1.1m in bonuses across the season.
Klopp's teacher's pet has scored nine times in all competitions this season, earning a reported £25k for each of his first five strikes.
After that, he pocked £45k between six and ten goals and then a further £65k from 11 onwards.
So his moment of selflessness effectively cost him a sizeable £45k.
Somehow we doubt it'll be walnut whips and an orange in the Firmino household at Christmas as a result, though.
