Guiseley remain in trouble after defeat to Sutton

Posted Sunday, November 26, 2017 by PA

Sutton kept Guiseley rooted in the relegation zone with a steady 2-0 win at Nethermoor Park.

The away side grabbed an early advantage when a Kieron Cadogan corner was headed back into the danger area by Jamie Collins and Craig Dundas pounced.

Paul Cox's men spurned a chance to equalise when Lee Molyneux saw his penalty well saved by Jamie Butler after a handball offence.

The Lions' luck was out as within a couple of minutes Tom Bolarinwa raced in ahead of the opposing goalkeeper to prod Cadogan's floated ball home.

In the second half, Guiseley came close when substitute Andy Haworth's effort was tipped on to the post, but it was too little too late.
