ADVANTAGE: Burglars took their chance while Sadio Mane and Dejan Lovren were out at a game
They broke into winger Sadio Mané’s property and then smashed a patio door at defender Dejan Lovren’s house nearby.
The three-strong mob fled after a woman at Lovren’s home heard them and screamed she was calling police.
INJURED: Both Mane' and Lovren sat out of the game due to injury
Detectives last night appealed for information about the raids – the latest in a series of attacks on footballers’ homes while they were playing big matches.
Police were called to Lovren’s property at 8pm on Wednesday, just 15 minutes after the kick-off against Maribor.
It is not known if anything was stolen in either raid.
DOUBLE DIP: Dejan Lovren was also robbed, prompting police to send in a helicopter
A police helicopter was scrambled to scour the surrounding area, including a nearby cemetery.
Neither Mané, 25, from Senegal, nor Croatian Lovren, 28, played in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over the Slovenian team as both are recovering from injury.
But they were at the match at Anfield to support their team-mates.
