Spurs ban fans
Last Wednesday was an all-around bad day for Spurs. The Premier League side crashed out of the Carabao Cup in such abysmal fashion that conspiracy theories emerged in the aftermath about them throwing the game.
No evidence emerged of the game being thrown but footage of something else being thrown did. Spurs and West Ham have a deep rivalry based on their close proximity to one another and the history between the two clubs.
As if it wasn't embarrassing enough to let a two-goal lead slip, Spurs were let down off the pitch by the behaviour of a small number of fans in the stands. A video did the rounds on Twitter afterwards. It showed a Spurs fan in attendance at Wembley urinating into a plastic cup before chucking it high into the crowd in an attempt to hit West Ham fans.
We could share the video to further shame the fools but we'd rather save your precious time for something else.
It's truly pathetic behaviour. The culprits behind the vile act have been handed lifetime bans by Spurs.
Defeat to Man United
A bad week for Spurs was compounded by defeat at Manchester United on Saturday afternoon. A late Anthony Martial goal gave United all three points, the margin of points they moved ahead of Tottenham in the Premier League.
The visitors were without key man Harry Kane and struggled to create clear-cut chances. The best opportunity for them to score came to Dele Alli midway through the second half. It wasn't the midfielder's best game.
Next up, they host Real Madrid in the Champions League, the trophy holders also coming off the back of a defeat.
