Connor Bell tolls for Inverness as high-flying Dunfermline beaten
Posted Sunday, October 29, 2017 by PA
Connor Bell's first-half effort was enough as Inverness extended their unbeaten run to four Scottish Championship games with a narrow 1-0 victory over Dunfermline at the Caledonian Stadium.
The home side began to dominate from kick-off and Iain Vigurs and John Baird had a couple of chances apiece to put their side ahead, but were both denied.
It was Bell - midway through the first half - who made their early pressure count as he tapped Jake Mulraney's assist into the bottom corner from the far post to claim a narrow half-time lead.
Baird tested Pars goalkeeper Sean Murdoch just before the hour mark as Caley searched for a second but it was not forthcoming and they held on for maximum points.
