Liverpool are ready to make a big effort to land PSG star Julian Draxler in January
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have endured a difficult start to the new season.
The Reds, who are already out of the Carabao Cup, are currently ninth in the Premier League table following their 4-1 horror show at Tottenham yesterday.
To add to their on-field issues, Coutinho continues to be linked with an Anfield exit with Barcelona still keen.
Transfermarketweb claim Liverpool could finally lose their Brazilian ace to Barca in January.
And if the 25-year-old does go, the Reds' are ready 'to make a big effort' in land Germany star Draxler.
Draxler's long-term future at Paris St-Germain has been questioned following Neymar's £200m arrival.
And it is said that Klopp and co want to bring him to Merseyside this winter as Coutinho's replacement.
Transfermarketweb add that both French and UK sources have confirmed this information to them.
Draxler is under contract with PSG until June 2021 and is also wanted by Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho could join Barcelona in January
He has scored once in 11 appearances in all competition for PSG this term.
As Starsport revealed earlier this month, Arsenal remain huge fans of Draxler and are considering a sensational January swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners would much prefer to sell Sanchez to PSG rather than to Manchester City.
And Arsene Wenger is hoping to secure Draxler's signature as part of a massive exchange deal.
