The 30-year-old footie star was on the way home from West Ham’s training ground when three thieves approached him while he filled up his car at a petrol station near Romford, Essex.
The gang surrounded the West Ham player on two mopeds as he got into his car last week and took his phone, watch and wallet.
According to a source, Hart was not hurt but was left “pretty shaken up”.
"He’s a big powerful guy and it took some nerve to rob him," they told the Sun.
"If it can happen to the safest pair of hands in England it can happen to anyone."
The raid came just after Hart had returned with the England World Cup squad from their match in Lithuania.
SCARY: The England ace was attacked as he filled his car up with petrol
It comes just two months after Hart’s £100,000 Range Rover was stolen from his home in Cheshire.
Hart is not the first Premier League ace to be targeted by thieves.
Earlier this year, John Terry’s house was ransacked and more than £400,000 worth of designer goods stolen.
And Andy Carroll was robbed at gunpoint by a man on a motorbike who tried to steal his £22,000 watch.
IN ACTION: This is the second time the goalkeeper has been targered by thieves
Shock video shows Carroll's Jeep Wrangler in a near-miss with another car as the ex-Newcastle and Liverpool man makes a desperate bid to escape.
In a frantic 999 call from Carroll played to a court, he told emergency services: "There's two motorbikes, one's behind me pulling out a gun.
"I don't know what to do."
