Manchester City have been given a major boost after striker Sergio Aguero returned to light training as he steps up his recovery from injury.
Aguero suffered a rib injury in a car crash in Amsterdam last month and there were initially fears that he could be out for several weeks.
However, as reported by the club's official website, Aguero participated in a training session with City's players who aren't on international duty.
City also welcomed back midfielder Fabian Delph, who appears to have recovered from the injury that he suffered against Chelsea.
It is likely that Aguero will slowly be eased back into action by City, with manager Pep Guardiola eager to ensure that the 29-year-old doesn't suffer a setback in his recovery.
Aguero has produced some impressive performances so far this season – he has scored seven goals and provided three assists in eight appearances across all competitions.
The Argentina international needs to find the net one more time to equal Eric Brook's record of 177 goals for the club.
