Move fell through
Chile and Manchester City player Claudio Bravo has spoken about the failed transfer of Alexis Sanchez, who of course plays international football alongside him.
The keeper was with Alexis recently during the international break, and said that the player was not happy at all - and felt bitter that he suffered due to another move failing.
The move Bravo was talking about was of course Arsenal's attempt to land Thomas Lemar, who didn't leave Monaco, and while at the time Alexis was unhappy, now he wants to get on with things and try his best for Arsenal this season before leaving in the summer.
The Telegraph report Bravo said: "We were talking in Chile. He went from happiness to bitterness in a few hours, although it's all in the past now. The transfer didn't happen because a player didn't go to Arsenal and everything collapsed.
"We would have loved to have him here, but the market gives you these time limits and the rush is not good. This time it was not possible, but hopefully we have him here in the future."
Running down his contract
Of course, the keeper did hint at a possible future move for Alexis, and even if the player doesn't join Manchester City, it's clear he will be going elsewhere after leaving Arsenal this summer.
There won't be a shortage of clubs looking at Alexis, and Arsenal now face the real possibility he could even end up at Chelsea or Manchester United should either side show an interest in him and Man City look elsewhere.
It seems that Alexis does want to stay in England - but understandably wants to win the Champions League and Premier League - and it's clear that Arsenal cannot provide him with a realistic chance to do either of the above.
