Manchester City are prepared for a deadline-day deal for Alexis Sanchez
MANCHESTER CITY have reportedly sent representatives to Chile in preparation of finalising a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
Manchester City are keen to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this summer and have arrangements in place for a deadline-day deal.
The Telegraph claim the Etihad club have a team on the ground in Macul, Santiago - where Chile play Paraguay tomorrow night.
They are ready to conduct a medical and finalise Sanchez's move to City should a deal be reached in time with the Gunners.
And the move has been boosted by claims this week the north London club are now considering cashing in on the Chile international.
City are said to have had a £50million bid for Sanchez rejected by Arsenal and a swap deal involving Raheem Sterling has also been explored.
However, Pep Guardiola's side are said to have returned with a £70m offer this week which could clinch the deal.
The Gunners are acutely aware they face the prospect of losing Sanchez on a free transfer next summer if he fails to agree a new contract.
And similar to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's move to Liverpool, the north London club could cash in before it is too late.
Sky Sports pundit Tony Gale claimed this week selling the Chilean would be good business and insisted fans would come to understand the decision.
"I think they'd understand if a player is no use to them if he hasn't got the right attitude," he said..
"Obviously the financial side of it, Arsenal have got to get something for him unless they just let his contract run down and he goes on a free transfer.
"I think they'd understand and if you were a real fan, you would want 11 players on the pitch all trying their hearts out at the moment because it isn't good and they need a performance."
