Kovacic switches from No.16 to No.23

Real Madrid have updated their players' numbers on their official website and Mateo Kovacic traded his former '16' for '23.'

The Croatian midfielder's new number was vacant after Danilo's move to Manchester City earlier in the summer.

After Kovacic's switch, '16' and '19' remain available for any future acquisitions.
