Diego Costa will not return to Chelsea training

Chelsea will return to training on August 1 after being granted a few days off by Antonio Conte having returned to London from their pre-season tour of Asia.
Diego Costa, however, will not be rejoining the squad at their Cobham training centre and along with Nemanja Matic, will be given additional time off to complete a move away from Stamford Bridge.
It is well known that the relationship between Conte and the Brazilian-born Spain international is beyond the point of repair, and neither party are interested in facing the awkward situation of having Costa return to training.
Should Costa get his wish, his move to Atletico Madrid will begin to take shape and move quicker than it has been, leaving him training with the Rojiblancos from the summer until January, but not being allowed to play until after Christmas.
If Atleti keep moving slowly, however, Roman Abramovich will not hesitate to find another destination for the player, who will have no choice then other than to listen to offers.
Diego Costa wants Atletico, but his patience is limited.
