The agent of Newcastle target Lucas Perez blasts greedy Arsenal

The agent of Lucas Perez has criticised the actions of Arsenal, accusing them of not granting the wishes of his client by rejecting several offers from other clubs.

Perez has stated his intent to leave the Emirates after failing to receive many opportunities to play last season, with Newcastle and Perez's former club, Deportivo La Coruna, showing interest.

Speaking to Goal, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle said: "Lucas wants to play but it depends on Arsenal.

"Arsenal want more [money]. We want to leave but if there is no agreement he has a contract with Arsenal.

"The ideal price is about €12m (£10.8m)."

The Gunners are said to be determined to recuperate the majority of the £17.5m they spent to sign Perez from Deportivo last summer.
