Dejan Lovren: Mohamed Salah is perfect for Liverpool’s system

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has claimed that new signing Mohamed Salah is "perfect" for the club.
Salah became Liverpool's all-time record signing when he joined from Roma for an initial £36.9 million this summer and the Egyptian winger received his first run-out for the Reds in the 1-1 draw against Wigan Athletic in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
Lovren believes that Liverpool sorely missed Sadio Mane when the winger was injured last season but stressed that the squad is now stronger following Salah's arrival.
The centre-back also welcomed the signing of young striker Dominic Solanke, who joined on a free transfer after leaving Chelsea.
As reported by Sky Sports, Lovren said: "Mane had his injury and we missed him.
"We saw [Salah on Friday] and we will see more of his qualities. He needs more time as he's only had six days with us and everything is completely new [but] I think he will be perfect in this system.
"I think they [Salah and Solanke] have their qualities and Jurgen knows what he needs and what the team needs to improve.
"I think he made a good choice. These guys work really hard on the pitch and in training so it is always good to welcome such players like these.
"Quality players are always welcome but we have other players like Mane, Phil (Coutinho) so I think it will be a difficult job to get in the first XI with so many good players."
If Salah is able to perform at the same level as he did for Roma last season then he will certainly endear himself to Liverpool supporters very quickly.
Salah was excellent last season as he scored 15 goals in Serie A, while he created 71 chances - more than any of his team-mates - and was successful with 55% of the take-ons that he attempted.
