Almost 500 fans encourage Atletico at their hotel: Score four!

As usual, Atletico Madrid's fans wanted to encourage their players to the door of the team hotel before an important game - this time looking to overturn a 3-0 first leg defeat to their cross-city rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Around 500 supporters gathered at the Eurostars Monte Real to encourage Diego Simeone's players as Atletico look to secure a historic night in what will be their penultimate fixture at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

"Until the last drop of blood!" read a large banner that was hung up by the supporters on the security fences, as fans began chants about themselves and their rivals.

The players appeared to appreciate the gesture as they stayed on the hotel steps for a few minutes, soaking up the atmosphere.
