Nottingham Forest vs Reading - Defensive duo set to boost Nottingham Forest
Posted Thursday, April 20, 2017 by PA
Relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest could welcome back defenders Matt Mills and Armand Traore when they host high-flying Reading.
Both players missed Monday's defeat at Cardiff due to injury, with centre-back Mills suffering with a quad problem and full-back Traore nursing an ankle.
Forest striker Ross McCormack, who has missed the last month, is not expected to play again this season after undergoing jaw surgery.
Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson and striker Matty Fryatt (both Achilles) are long-term absentees.
Reading midfielder Sandro Wieser has suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of the clash.
The Liechtenstein international, who is yet to make his Royals debut having joined in August, was close to being in contention before suffering an ankle problem in training.
Midfielder Stephen Quinn has returned to training, although this game will come too soon for him to feature.
Captain Paul McShane is also nearing fitness but he remains sidelined, along with Joey van den Berg, Deniss Rakels and Callum Harriott.
