Milton Keynes Dons vs Scunthorpe United - MK Dons boss Robbie Nielson facing goalkeeping quandary
Posted Thursday, April 13, 2017 by PA
MK Dons manager Robbie Neilson must decide whether to stick with Lee Nicholls in goal or recall experienced David Martin for the fixture against play-off chasers Scunthorpe.
Nicholls has been an able deputy while Martin has been out with a back injury for the Dons who took their unbeaten run to five Sky Bet League One games last time out with a 1-1 draw against Swindon.
Kieran Agard moved his goals total to 14 for the season in the draw with Swindon and will look to start against Scunthorpe as he is out of contract in the summer.
Martin is also without a deal for next season and will be anxious to secure his future along with captain Dean Lewington, Darren Potter, Daniel Powell, Ben Reeves, Dean Bowditch and Nicky Maynard.
Scunthorpe have suffered a major blow with midfielder Matt Crooks set to miss both Easter fixtures.
Crooks was forced off at half-time during last weekend's victory over Bolton and is set to see a specialist to determine how long he will remain on the sidelines.
Harry Toffolo could well be back, though, after missing the Bolton clash with a thigh strain.
Jordan Clarke sat out that match for personal reasons but is also set to return while Sam Mantom and Kevin van Veen are pushing for starts after returning to the squad.
