Sheffield Wed. vs Blackburn Rovers - Steven Fletcher available after suspension for Sheff Wed's clash with Blackburn
Posted Tuesday, February 14, 2017 by PA
Sheffield Wednesday striker Steven Fletcher is back in contention following suspension for Tuesday's home game against Blackburn.
Fletcher has been sidelined for the last three matches after his straight red card in the Sky Bet Championship defeat at Brighton.
Head coach Carlos Carvalhal could also be boosted by the return of Tom Lees and Gary Hooper.
Defender Lees has missed the last two games due to a knee problem and striker Hooper has been struggling since mid-November with a thigh injury.
Blackburn manager Owen Coyle has defensive problems ahead of the trip to Hillsborough.
Gordon Greer (hip) is unlikely to be fit in time after missing Saturday's 1-1 draw at Rotherham, while Darragh Lenihan is doubtful due to illness.
Tommie Hoban (shoulder) is set to return to training this week but will not be ready in time, so Wes Brown could be in line for a recall.
On-loan Owls forward Lucas Joao is ineligible against his parent club but Connor Mahoney and Marvin Emnes could be pushing for places in the starting line-up.
