Rotherham United vs Huddersfield Town - Joel Ekstrand in contention for Rotherham debut against Huddersfield
Posted Tuesday, February 14, 2017 by PA
Rotherham could hand a debut to Joel Ekstrand in the Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield.
The Swedish defender was on the bench for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Blackburn but boss Paul Warne could be ready to hand him a start.
Aimen Belaid and Darnell Fisher are both struggling with hamstring injuries, as is deadline-day signing Carlton Morris, who has still not joined up with the club yet.
Lee Frecklington is nearing a return from an ankle injury, but will not feature against a side the Millers have not beaten at home since 1992.
Huddersfield midfielder Jonathan Hogg is an injury doubt after sustaining a groin injury in Saturday's win at QPR.
Philip Billing replaced Hogg, who was forced out after 20 minutes at Loftus Road, and will be in contention for a return to the starting line-up.
Fellow midfielder Kasey Palmer is still out with the hamstring injury he picked up in the recent win against Leeds.
Winger Sean Scannell (ankle) remains a long-term absentee as in-form Town bid for a fifth straight league win.
