Leeds United vs Bristol City - Leeds' Pontus Jansson doubtful for Bristol City game

Leeds defender Pontus Jansson is doubtful to recover in time to face Bristol City at Elland Road.

The Swedish centre-half missed the home defeat to Cardiff at the weekend after calling in sick on the morning of the game and is not expected to recover in time.

Leeds will also be without skipper Liam Bridcutt, who sits out a one-game ban after being sent off for his second bookable offence late on against Cardiff.

Left-back Charlie Taylor, out since mid-December with an Achilles injury, is closing in on a return to full training.

Bristol City forward Matty Taylor is a slight doubt due to a hamstring strain.

The deadline day signing suffered the injury during his debut at Derby which he marked with a goal in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with Lee Tomlin standing by to start in his place if he can recover from a niggling injury of his own.

Manager Lee Johnson will look to 21-goal Tammy Abraham, who scored twice at Derby, to continue his fine season as his side look to climb away from the relegation zone.

Johnson must decide whether to retain Scott Golbourne in midfield and has Zak Vyner pushing for a place in defence after being an unused substitute against Derby.
