Messi just uploaded odd picture, has he been kidnapped?

For those of you who don't know, global footballing superstars who are paid millions of pounds a year, tend to have someone running their social media accounts.

At the very least they will often be 'advised' on what to say. Often they might be told what to write by someone from the communications team at their club.

Sometimes, however, the players freestyle, or even run all their accounts of their own accord. And, in the case of a certain Lionel Messi, it can have disastrous consequences.

Indeed, ahead of the Copa del Rey semi-final victory over Atletico, the Argentine posted a picture of the floor in his first attempt at an Instagram story.

Although the 29-year-old frequently posts regular Instagram photos, this was his debut in the format which disappears after 24 hours. And others on social media refused to cut him any slack…

Of course, there is always the possibility that whoever runs Messi's social media could've been at fault. Or his phone was 'stolen', or 'hacked' or [insert overused excuse here].

But, here at Le Buzz, we have a hunch that the twinkle-footed icon showed another reason – beyond his 5ft 7in frame –  why he would never have made a good keeper.
