Barnsley's new signing Alex Mowatt is hoping to make his first appearance for the club in the home game against Wolves.
Midfielder Mowatt joined from Yorkshire rivals Leeds last week for an undisclosed fee and could make his debut.
Defender Aidy White has been ruled out due to a recurrence of his pelvic injury, but midfielder Matty James is fit to resume after suffering cramp on his debut in Saturday's win at Rotherham.
Head coach Paul Heckingbottom has no new injury or suspension problems as the Reds bid to climb into the play-off places.
Wolves boss Paul Lambert has been dealt a blow by the news that Portuguese winger Ivan Cavaleiro will be sidelined for several weeks by a knee injury.
Cavaleiro had been carrying the injury for some time, but finally succumbed during the 3-1 Sky Bet Championship defeat at Norwich on January 21.
Keeper Carl Ikeme, who missed Saturday's FA Cup victory over Premier League Liverpool through suspension, completes his two-match ban with Harry Burgoyne having got the nod at Anfield.
Defender Mike Williamson also missed out with a groin problem, while Jordan Graham and Michal Zyro are long-term absentees with knee injuries but winger Helder Costa is expected to start after completing a permanent move from Benfica.
