Brentford vs Aston Villa - Scott Hogan in contention for Brentford's clash with Aston Villa

Scott Hogan is in contention to play for Brentford against Aston Villa after featuring for the first time in almost four weeks against Chelsea.

The 24-year-old striker came off the substitutes' bench in Saturday's FA Cup loss and will again be in the squad, unless a suitor matches the Bees' B£15million valuation.

Winger Florian Jozefzoon, who last Friday signed until the end of the season from PSV Eindhoven, has received international clearance and could make his debut.

Bees head coach Dean Smith has no fresh injuries.

Villa boss Steve Bruce faces a number of decisions over his midfield, with three new signings in contention.

Former Nottingham Forest man Henri Lansbury made his debut in the 2-2 draw with Preston last time out and will hope to retain his place in the starting line-up.

He could be joined by Barnsley old-boy Conor Hourihane and Birkir Bjarnason, who has joined the club from Swiss side FC Basle, with Bruce revealing all three men could be involved.

However, fellow midfielder Mile Jedinak is likely to miss out once again with a groin problem, although he could be fit for Saturday's trip to Forest.
