Brady: Payet good enough for Real Madrid

West Ham Vice-chairwoman Karren Brady has reiterated that wantaway forward Dimitri Payet won't leave the club on the cheap amidst interest from Marseille.
The French international has been widely linked with a return to his homeland, with Marseille the most likely destination, but Brady is adherent that the Hammers "won't be bullied into agreeing anything" because Payet is "skilled enough to play for Real Madrid".
Various reports in the British press claim that West Ham have slapped a price tag in excess of £30 million on the player, considerably more than the offers Marseille have tabled so far.
"If Marseille want a bargain they ought to try Roman Road market," Brady wrote in a column for The Sun.
"Chelsea are in the same boat [with Diego Costa] and holding firm like us.
"My chairmen and the manager keep repeating they want to keep Payet.
"I can assure you they won't be bullied into agreeing anything that is not in the best interests of WHU."
Payet has been forced to train with the club's U21s in recent times, although his absence from the first team didn't seem to impact Slaven Bilic's side last week, when they beat Crystal Palace 3-0.
Payet will once again be absent from the side in this weekend's match against Middlesbrough.
