Southampton are unbeaten against Leicester at St Mary's in the Premier League with the Foxes' last away victory in this fixture coming in April 2000 and their recent away record is nothing short of appalling.
One goal in their last four outings and no wins away from the King Power Stadium all campaign puts them up with one of the worst title defences in English top-flight history.
Southampton manager Claude Puel admitted both sides are desperate to generate some form coming into the fixture as the 10th placed Saints aim to reach the European spots with a win over Claudio Ranieri's side.
"It's two teams with difficulties in the Premier League, in the same situation. We want a good result and the points. It's important to have good concentration for this," he told reporters.
"They will want to counter-attack against us. We know this game.
"It's a physical game also and it's important to analyse them well, have good concentration and the right attitude, like the last three games."
Ranieri feels the relegation points target should be their only concern after the poor start but tipped his side to find their winning form.
"Our goal is to get 40 points as soon as possible. Now we have two away matches and we will try to do our best.
"Sooner or later we will start to win away."
Jose Fonte will not be considered for selection after handing in a transfer request last-week.
Leicester's Leonardo Ulloa, who also handed in a transfer request, has been ruled out with a thigh injury while Africa Cup of Nations trio Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Daniel Amartey are all unavailable for selection.
