Aubameyang: No one can predict the future

Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he is happy at the club but can’t guarantee he will stay at Signal Iduna Park forever.
The striker is currently with Gabon at the Africa Cup of Nations, but has been a crucial player for Dortmund over the years, contributing 57 Bundesliga goals in the last two and a half seasons.
Recent transfer rumours have linked the striker with a move to Premier League outfit Manchester City and even though his contract runs until 2020, he could not guarantee that he would be at the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
“Nobody can foresee the future,” he told Bild.
“I love it at Dortmund, but I can’t say that I’ll stay for two more years, or five or 10. It’s possible that a club could reach an agreement with Dortmund in June and I’ll go.
“I want to be honest: When you are ambitious and also want to see something else… it’s difficult to talk about. Some players have ambitions, and therefore they leave and want to experience something new, you know.”
However, he did reassure Dortmund fans that if he were to leave, it would not be to arch-rivals: “Never would I switch to Bayern.”
Dortmund face SV Werder Bremen on Saturday in a massive Bundesliga clash.
