Diego Costa is willing to consider a new contract with Chelsea.
The Sun says the striker has returned to first-team training and is set to start against Hull on Sunday.
However, he only agreed to a truce on condition the club reopen negotiations over a new contract.
The club insisted that it would not be bullied into allowing Costa to leave — nor would it concede to his demand to double his pay from £150,000 per week to £300k.
However, the promise to reopen discussions on an improved deal have smoothed the way for the 28-year-old to return to the fold.
It is understood that the league leaders are prepared to offer their 14-goal top scorer up to £225,000 a week on a new five-year deal.
There will also be built-in bonuses on top of the basic salary in the hope Costa will continue to perform to the levels he has reached this season.
