Preston North End vs Brighton & Hove Albion - Ben Pearson banned for Brighton game

Midfielder Ben Pearson begins a suspension when Preston host Brighton at Deepdale.

Pearson picked up his 10th booking of the campaign in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal last weekend and will now serve a two-match ban.

North End were already without striker Jermaine Beckford, who completes his four-game suspension here, and John Welsh (calf) and Calum Woods (knee).

Manager Simon Grayson is also set to once more be without Alex Baptiste (knee).

Brighton boss Chris Hughton will recall a host of first-teamers after making 11 changes for their FA Cup win over MK Dons.

David Stockdale, Shane Duffy, Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray will be among the players returning to the starting line-up.

But Lewis Dunk will miss out as he completes a two-match ban for collecting 10 yellow cards.

Fellow defender Liam Rosenior is close to returning after five months out with an ankle injury but will probably need another reserve run-out.
