Reading skipper Paul McShane remains sidelined for the visit of QPR.
The defender missed Saturday's FA Cup defeat at his former club Manchester United with a wrist injury and is still not ready to return.
Winger Callum Harriott faces four to six weeks out with a hamstring injury.
Midfielder Stephen Quinn (knee) and striker Deniss Rakels (ankle) are also set to miss out again.
QPR can add Kazenga LuaLua to their squad for the short trip along the M4.
The winger has joined Rangers from Brighton on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty are also set to be involved after being recalled from loan spells at Swindon, while midfielder Ben Gladwin has completed a temporary switch in the opposite direction.
Youngster Ebere Eze is a doubt after suffering an Achilles injury on his debut in the FA Cup defeat by Blackburn at the weekend.
