Crawley Town vs Hartlepool United FC - Matt Harrold Crawley's only absentee for visit of Hartlepool

Posted Friday, January 13, 2017 by PA

Striker Matt Harrold remains Crawley's only injury concern ahead of their Sky Bet League Two game Hartlepool on Saturday.

Harrold remains sidelined due to an Achilles injury and is Crawley's only long-term absentee.

The 32-year-old striker was injured during training and it is hoped he will be able to take off the protective boot soon and begin some light training, although he is not expected to be back for another two months.

Manager Dermot Drummy has no fresh injury or suspension concerns and could stick with the side who won 2-0 at Yeovil last time out.

Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett will once again be without Northern Ireland goalkeeper Trevor Carson as he prepares to undergo shoulder surgery.

Adam Bartlett will deputise with Carson due to have an operation to correct a niggling problem next week.

James Martin is back in training after a knee injury, but fellow defender Rob Jones is still missing with his knee problem.

Full-back Carl Magnay and midfielder Nathan Thomas are both progressing well as they attempt to work their way back from long-term lay-offs, but neither will figure at Crawley.
