Newport County vs Colchester United - Mickey Demetriou and Florent Bojaj could make Newport debuts against Colchester

Mickey Demetriou is likely to start on the Newport bench at home to Colchester as he works his way back to full fitness.

But fellow new boy Florent Bojaj could start, and Josh Sheehan is expected to be fit for the Sky Bet League Two clash after missing the defeat at Stevenage with a deep gash to his ankle.

Jennison Myrie-Williams is a doubt after twisting his ankle last week.

Sean Rigg (hamstring) and Joss Labadie (knee) remain sidelined, as do long-term absentees Jamie Turley and Lenell John-Lewis.

Colchester boss John McGreal could name an unchanged team as the U's chase a sixth successive league win.

Winger Tarique Fosu has extended his loan stay from Reading, but Finland under-21 midfielder Glen Kamara has returned to Arsenal.

Defenders Jermaine Grandison, signed as a free agent following a trail, and Matt Briggs, who had hip surgery in August, are both closing in on a first-team return.

Forward Sammie Szmodics, though, faces a spell on the sidelines following an operation on his ankle. Club captain Luke Prosser (knee), Doug Loft (Achilles) and Lewis Kinsella (ankle) all continue their recovery.
