The Swans are currently on the look out for their third manager this season - their fourth overall in 2016 - after parting company with Bob Bradley earlier in the week following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United.
Many names have been linked with the post - including Manchester United Ryan Giggs - but according to the South Wales Evening Post, Pardew and Redknapp appear to be the front runners after expressing an interest.
Wales boss Chris Coleman and Giggs were understood to be the club's preferred choices to replace Bradley, but have been forced to look elsewhere following developments on Thursday as the former's wife, Charlotte, ruled out the possibility on social media.
Meanwhile, the BBC reported that the former United winger had been ruled out of contention for the role, despite being backed by current caretaker manager Alan Curtis just a few hours earlier.
As a result, it could come down to a straight fight between two experienced managers in English football. Redknapp hasn't managed at club level since leaving QPR in April 2015, while Pardew is only recently out of a job after being sacked by Crystal Palace.
