Leeds and Derby are going to play a mid-season friendly just to p*** off Sky Sports

Leeds and Derby are planning to stick it to the man!
The two Championship sides have arranged to play a mid-season friendly in March as an example of how clubs can earn money "outside the parameters of normal broadcasting restrictions".
Basically, it's a giant middle finger to Sky TV, who are the current rights holders for EFL football.
The match will take place at Pride Park during an international break, although with both teams in the play-offs mix it's unlikely to be a truly competitive affair.
This time last year Leeds' controversial owner Massimo Cellino tried to ban Sky Sports from broadcasting the Whites' games against Derby before eventually allowing them access to Elland Road.

It came at a time when Leeds had featured on Sky Sports relatively frequently and Cellino believed the regular appearances were discouraging fans from attending games.
Leeds claimed they were missing out on £100,000 per game.
