A HUGE fight broke out during a title-deciding match on Christmas Day – resulting in four players getting sent off.
Mexican sides Tigres and Club America were vying to become Liga MX champions, but the match was marred by violence from both teams.
Having already played out to a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the match was equally tight and went to extra time after finishing 0-0 in 90 minutes.
Club America’s Edson Alvarez looked certain to have won the match when he scored in the 95th minute.
But just 10 minutes later – at the end of the first half – a huge scrap erupted.
It was so bad – in fact – that both sides were forced to finish the match with just nine players each.
Players, staff and managers all appear to be involved in the shocking punch-up.
Jesus Duenas levelled for Tigres in the 120th minute, ensuring the game would go to penalties.
Four players were sent off after the fight
And they comfortably won the penalties 3-0 to lift their fifth Liga MX title.
It’s not the first time Club America has been involved in violence this season.
Shocking footage emerged last month showing their fans savagely attacking rivals Chivas during their derby match.
