Eintracht Frankfurt beat local rivals Mainz 3-0 to move up to third in the Bundesliga on Tuesday evening.
Branimir Hrgota gave Frankfurt the lead in the 18th minute, latching onto David Abraham's long pass forward and beating Jonas Lossl in a one-on-one.
Jhon Cordoba was denied by Lukas Hradecky in another one-on-one situation at the other end of the field no more than 60 seconds later as Mainz missed a great opportunity to level.
Cordoba's evening ended after 55 minutes when he was shown a straight red card for stepping on Abraham after a challenge between the pair, and 15 minutes later Frankfurt made their extra man count with Aymane Barkok scoring his second goal of the season.
He then set up Hrgota to make it 3-0 in the 85th minute and ensure the Eagles comfortably took all three points.
