Rumour: Liverpool set to target Arda Turan in January transfer window

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing out-of-favour Barcelona winger Arda Turan once the winter transfer window opens in January.

The Turkey international joined the Catalan giants from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, but has failed to nail down a regular place in Luis Enrique's side - much down to the brilliance of Lionel Messi and Neymar in the wide areas.

As a result there is talk that he could be on the move in the new year and according to Goal, Anfield is a possible destination for the 29-year-old as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to add more creativity to his squad in order to sustain their Premier League title challenge.

Turan did begin the season as somewhat of a regular for Barca as he netted twice in a Spanish Super Cup second leg win over Sevilla back in August then scored the club's first goal of the new league campaign in a 6-2 thrashing of Real Betis.

However, he as bit reduced to a bit-part role since then and a move to Merseyside could be what's needed for him to recapture his form at Atletico.
