Fleetwood Town vs Peterborough United - Conor McLaughlin returns to Fleetwood squad

Posted Thursday, October 13, 2016 by PA

Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler will have defender Conor McLaughlin available for their Sky Bet League 1 clash against Peterborough.

The 25-year-old full-back played 77 minutes in Northern Ireland's victory over San Marino last week but did not play against Germany and he is expected to start for the Cod Army.

Eggert Jonsson, Martyn Woolford and Devante Cole are all pushing for starting places while striker David Ball is expected to feature against his former club.

Dion Charles and Tre Sterling both return from Northern Ireland Under-21 and Under-19 action respectively.

Peterborough manager Grant McCann has a decision to make as he welcomes Michael Smith back from international duty for the trip to Highbury Stadium.

Right-back Smith has been away with Northern Ireland but could have to wait for his turn after Hayden White impressed in the 3-1 win over Bury last weekend.

Shaq Coulthirst is expected to keep his place in attack as the Posh boss intends to use him to motivate other "fringe players" to fight for a place in the team.

Brad Inman, Lee Angol (both ankle) and Jermaine Anderson (anterior cruciate ligament) remain sidelined due to injury.
