Cambridge United vs Grimsby Town - Banned duo back for Cambridge
Posted Thursday, October 13, 2016 by PA
Cambridge manager Shaun Derry welcomes Leon Legge and Brad Halliday back into his squad for the clash with Grimsby.
Legge is available after he missed the 1-1 draw with Blackpool last weekend due to suspension for his dismissal in the 2-1 win over Accrington.
Halliday received a straight red card in the same game following a deliberate handball.
The U's are looking to extend their unbeaten run to five league games.
Grimsby boss Paul Hurst will have only Sean McAllister and Ashley Chambers unavailable as they close in on returns from injury.
Midfielder McAllister has made only three senior appearances for the cub since his summer arrival from Scunthorpe, but played 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek after shaking off a persistent groin problem, but Saturday's game will come too soon for him.
Winger Chambers also remains on the sidelines with a badly-gashed thigh suffered during the 3-0 home defeat by Hartlepool on October 1, although he is due to have staples removed from the wound soon.
Dean Henderson and Rhys Browne are available once again following their returns from international duty with England Under-20s and Antigua and Barbuda respectively.
