Wolves vs Brentford - Wolves boss Zenga set to recall rested stars

Posted Friday, September 23, 2016 by PA

Wolves boss Walter Zenga is likely to make several changes after the 2-0 EFL Cup defeat at Newcastle on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, Danny Batth - who signed a new four-year deal on Thursday - Prince Oniangue and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson could all return after being rested.

Nouha Dicko scored for the club's Under-23s against Middlesbrough in midweek and is closing in on fitness after a year out with a knee injury.

Mike Williamson (glute) and Jordan Graham and Michal Zyro (both knee) are all long-term absentees but winger Graham could return to full training next month.

Brentford will again be without Callum Elder due to a knee problem.

The on-loan Leicester defender suffered the injury against Brighton a fortnight ago and the Bees have yet to put a timescale on his return.

Boss Dean Smith is therefore likely to stick with the side which thrashed Preston 5-0 last weekend, with Andreas Bjelland deputising for Elder at left-back again.

Deadline-day signing Rico Henry remains sidelined by a shoulder injury and midfielder Alan Judge is continuing his recovery from a broken leg.
