Reading vs Huddersfield - Tyler Blackett banned as Reading host leaders Huddersfield

Reading will be without Tyler Blackett for their Sky Bet Championship game against Huddersfield at the Madejski Stadium.

The 22-year-old defender was sent off in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in the EFL Cup following a tangle with Sebastien Pocognoli while Gareth McCleary is still banned after his red card against Barnsley last weekend.

Manager Jaap Stam has no fresh injury worries but Danzell Gravenberch is expected to start after he was brought on in defence following Blackett's dismissal on Tuesday night.

Deniss Rakels remains unavailable after ankle surgery and Yakou Meite is also still out with ankle ligament damage.

Huddersfield head coach David Wagner will choose from the same group of players as his side bids to stay top.

Wagner has no major new injury concerns and expects several of his first-team squad to shake off niggles in time to be available.

Winger Sean Scannell returned to the bench as an unused substitute last week after a hip problem and is hoping to feature.

Midfielder Jack Payne and forward Harry Bunn are among those pushing for recalls while fellow winger Joe Lolley (foot) remains sidelined.
